Ventilation and Airflow: Designing a Stable Indoor Microclimate

Ventilation is often reduced to choosing a fan by room volume. Real systems also contain filters, duct bends, silencers and grilles that add resistance and reduce delivered airflow.
Exchange and circulation
Exhaust replaces warm, humid air with new air. Circulation moves air within the space and helps reduce stagnant boundary layers. A strong jet aimed at one plant is not the same as even circulation across the canopy.
Measure the result
Observe temperature and humidity at several points, including inside dense foliage. The useful question is not whether the fan is powerful on paper, but whether the finished system maintains a stable and uniform environment.
